I painted until my hands began to bleed, but it is still a bit of rust on the sides and bottom. It is a big pot, but do not want to poison me.

A little mold do not hurt. Depending on what you cook, you can have discoloration of food until the new season to get dry (with oil over medium heat, leave). The next time a better wash - no need to hurt you. Once I found an iron pot scrap, an unusual size, and remove the rust with sandpaper wet
ReplyDeleteEverything you need to do is to season the pot. I write a lot of camping and casting is all that cooking. Simply wash the pan, a towel and place it on the fire and heat. Once the moisture has disappeared from the water, let cool, take a tissue and cooking oil and used in the pot. Heat can once again for a few minutes and cool. The end of each session, will not rust the kitchen and cooking. Rust on the outside should be no problem. If you have no oil to wash out, easy. Overseas oil catch fire.
ReplyDeleteDo you have steel wool or cleaning bronze? This may be the rest of the rust. Very small objects on the left side does not hurt, I think. Because you have some iron every time you cook food in an iron pot or pan. The other answer is good to go. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to be nonstick, wipe the inside with butter for the moment, the moment came, they Reseason.
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned earlier, the iron does not hurt at all.

Rust is iron oxide and does not hurt.
